What is The HIVE?

The HIVE – Hub for Information Validation & Empowerment

A Holistic Approach

Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, or trafficking don’t need one kind of help. They need many kinds: safe shelter, legal advocacy, medical care, therapy, financial support, food, clothing, and more.

Until now, accessing support in Larimer County has often required connecting with multiple agencies and sharing your story more than once, adding barriers at a time when support matters most.

Easy Access

At moments when safety and care matter most, support should be simple, connected, and centered on you not scattered across your community.

When support systems are difficult to navigate, many people are unable to access all of the services needed, only connecting with a small portion of them.

The HIVE Family Justice Center changes that.

A Collaborative Model

We bring multiple agencies and service providers together under one roof, so you don’t have to navigate the system alone. Our collaborative model means you tell your story once to a coordinated team who then works together to meet your needs.

Instead of dozens of different appointments all at different locations, you come to one place where everything is connected. Instead of services falling through the cracks, our agencies communicate with each other to make sure you and your family get the care you need.

Why do we call The Family Justice Center “The HIVE”?

HIVE stands for Hub for Information Validation & Empowerment.

It’s a place where you can receive clear, reliable information about your options, and be supported by a coordinated community working together. The HIVE also represents a protective, welcoming space—where care, connection, and support surround you as you consider your next steps.

When you visit The HIVE, your experience is heard and believed, and a team comes along side you to support the choices you make.

The Story Behind The HIVE Family Justice Center

The HIVE Family Justice Center is a project of Crossroads Safehouse & Services, an organization that has been serving survivors of domestic violence in Fort Collins and Larimer County for decades. Crossroads has always been committed to providing safe shelter, advocacy, and support to those fleeing abuse. Over the years, we witnessed firsthand the challenges survivors face when trying to access fragmented support services across multiple agencies.

That experience led to a vision: What if we could bring all those essential services together in one place?

The HIVE is the realization of that vision. We are so grateful to our community partners and donors who have come together to make this vision a reality.
